Japan's Household Spending Up 1.1% in July
In Japan, the expenditure for two or more person households increased 1.1% in July from a year earlier, said the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications.
The average monthly consumption expenditure per household stood at 285,274 yen in July 2010, and the average monthly income for working households stood at 562,094 yen in the recording month.
The growth follows the first year-on-year dip in eight months in June.

Household spending, which accounts for almost 60% of Japan’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP), is a key indication of personal spending.
