More than 70 participants attended the networking event, MBA Night @ The Blue Room on 14 June 2007, organized by the committee of the Young Accountants Group. The event was held at Singapore’s first Court House and former Parliament House, The Arts House at The Old Parliament.

Speakers from various global business schools such as Manchester Business School Worldwide, The University of Chicago Graduate School of Business, Insead, Melbourne Business School and University of Nottingham were invited to speak on various topics such as the general considerations of selecting a school, how to maximize your chance of getting into a prestigious MBA, the career pathways after obtaining a MBA qualification and what employers look for in a MBA qualification.

Mr Peter Lee, Executive Director, CFO & Company Secretary of OSIM International Ltd and Mr Dennis Tan, CFO of DHL Express Singapore were also present to share with participants the usefulness of the MBA qualification for accounting professionals.

The event ended with an interactive Q&A session and a lucky draw of 4 bottles of wine, sponsored by the exclusive sponsor of the event, Manchester Business School Worldwide.
