On the 9 October 2007, the Young Accountants Group (YAG) committee conducted a career seminar for the National Technology University (NTU) accounting students. The topic for the seminar was "Private VS Public accounting". Over a hundred students turned up for this career seminar.

The speakers are: Mr Victor Chan, Sole Proprietor of CWS & Associates, Ms Zann Lim, Group Finance Manger from Har Par Corporation Limited, Mr Soo Wei-Chieh, currently pursuing MBA at NTU, Mr Jack Wang and moderator Mr Lee Boon Teck, both from the YAG Committee.

The seminar was carried out in a lively panel discussion format that allows interactive Q&A from the students. The students brought out various concerns on their career choices. The speakers discussed on the major concerns like the difference between private and public accounting and working in accounting related industry versus working in non-accounting related industry. The students found the session informative and useful.
